Please be advised that due to recent flooding events, the Mayor and Village Board of Trustees have requested that Staff and any necessary consultants study and make any recommendations on changes to the Zoning Code or other sections of the Municipal Code to protect properties from any potential damage from up-stream developments.  At their meeting of September 26, 2017, the Village Board of Trustees adopted a moratorium on the issuance of permits for any increase in impervious area in the Village for a period of 60 days.  The moratorium is set to expire on November 27, 2017 unless extended by the Village Board.  Please contact Director of Community Development, John Spoden, at (847) 918-2028 or at with any questions or concerns.
