Contractor Requirements
General Contractor
  • Certificate of Insurance with the Village listed as certificate holder

Electrical Contractor
  • Certificate of Insurance with the Village listed as certificate holder
  • Electrical License from an approved State of Illinois Municipality
  • Letter of Intent (letter stating work to be performed, signed by the licensed electrician and notarized)

Irrigation Contractor
  • Certificate of Insurance with the Village listed as certificate holder
  • State of Illinois Irrigation Contractor’s License

Low Voltage Contractor
  • Certificate of Insurance with the Village listed as certificate holder

Mechanical Contractor (HVAC)
  • Certificate of Insurance with the Village listed as certificate holder

Plumbing Contractor
  • Copy of current State of Illinois Plumbing Contractor Registration
  • Copy of Plumber's license
  • Letter of Intent from a licensed plumber on his business stationary and signed by the licensed plumber with his corporate seal. If not a corporation, the Letter of Intent shall be notarized.
  • For Residential projects where owner desires to do the plumbing work, the owner shall sign permit application, state they will live in the premises for no less than six (6) months and it is their bonafide sole and exclusive residence.

Roofing Contractor

  • Certificate of Insurance with the Village listed as certificate holder
  • State of Illinois Roofing License
  • Photo ID of person who signs permit application

Sewer Contractor
  • Certificate of Insurance with Village listed as certificate holder
