Board Committees
Introduction
Each of the Village Board Trustees is assigned chairmanship of a committee and serves on two other committees. The committees are:

Finance
  • Trustee Richard Moras - Chair
  • Trustees Gaines and Justice 
  • Staff liaison: Director of Finance
  • Meets quarterly to review the annual Village budget and make recommendations to the Village Board
  • Agendas

Fire & Police
  • Mayor Terry Weppler - Chair
  • Trustees Johnson and Gaines
  • Staff liaison: Administrator
  • Meets quarterly to review and recommend action regarding the police and fire department operations
  • Agendas

License and Permits
  • Trustee Jay Justice - Chair
  • Trustees Adams and Garrity      
  • Staff liaison: Administrator or Deputy Administrator
  • Meets quarterly to review licenses and other matters
  • Agendas

Parks and Recreation
  • Trustee Gaines - Chair
  • Trustees Moras and Garrity
  • Staff liaison: Director of Recreation & Sports Complex
  • Meets on the first Tuesday of each month to review development and maintenance of parks and recreational programming
  • Agendas 

Special Projects & Buildings
  • Trustee Pete Garrity - Chair
  • Trustees Justice and Adams
  • Staff liaison: Administrator
  • Meets as needed to review and make recommendation regarding special matters referred by the Village Board
  • Agendas

Streets
  • Trustee Donna Johnson - Chair
  • Trustees Adams and Garrity
  • Staff liaison: Director of Public Works
  • Meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month to review maintenance and capital improvement programs for streets and sidewalks. Also reviews and makes recommendations to the Board regarding traffic management and parking issues.

  • Meets on the second Tuesday of each month to review maintenance, capital improvement programs and billing for water and sewer systems in the Village.
