Downtown Libertyville Metra Lot
The train station in downtown Libertyville is serviced by the
Milwaukee North train line and requires a parking permit. Permit costs are $200/resident and $250/non-resident for a 6-month period. If the lot is at capacity, a waiting list is maintained by the Libertyville Police Department, 200 East Cook Avenue. To check on availability of spaces, or to be placed on the waiting list, call the Police Department at 847-918-2038. Also available, to residents only on a first-come first-served basis, are ten (10) daily-fee parking spaces located in the far southwest corner of the Metra lot. The fee is $1.75/day and payment is made at the yellow fare box on the south wall of the depot building. Multiple days’ fees are not accepted.
Any parking spaces unused after 8:30 a.m. in the Metra train lot are available on a first-come, first-served basis using the envelope system. Envelopes are found on the side of the green Village of Libertyville mailbox located on the south side of the Metra station. Vehicle information is written on the outside of the envelope, $1.75 is put inside the envelope and the envelope is deposited in the green mailbox. This is a daily-fee system and multiple days' fees cannot be accepted. The envelope system is only used at the downtown Metra station lot and there is no guarantee that spaces will be available.

Vehicles in the overflow lot must display a current Village vehicle sticker.
