As part of the Department's ongoing participation in the Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) for traffic safety, Libertyville Police will be increasing patrols during the St. Patrick's Day Holiday.

From March 14-17, 2013, Libertyville Police will be deploying extra Officers to focus on impaired driving and occupant protection violations.  The goals are to increase safety belt use during late night hours, when their use is traditionally the lowest, as well as getting impaired drivers off the road.

If you see someone you believe is driving impaired, please do not hesitate to call 9-1-1 to report them.  Libertyville Police and IDOT encourage all motorists to buckle up, designate a sober driver, and DRIVE TO SURVIVE.
