Weather permitting, EB Lane 2 (outside lane) of IL 137 will be poured (slip-formed) on Friday, 5/24/13. Paving train will start at the west end of project (just west of Ace Hardware) and will terminate at the east limits (west of Des Plaines River).
After completing placement of concrete for EB lane 2 of IL 137, paver will be moved to the north limits of project, and placement of SB Lane 2 of IL 21 will begin on Tuesday, 5/28/13, and continue for three days until they reach south limits of the project (just south of Fire Station Dr.) After completing installation of SB Lane 2 of IL 21, paving again will begin at the west end of IL 137, and will follow the same pattern for the inside lane of IL 137 and IL 21.
Paving operations will be confined to the current work zone, but concrete trucks will constantly move in and out of the work zone on paving days, which may cause traffic delays.
Flaggers will be posted at the truck entrance/exit points.
