Mayor & Village Board
Mayor
The President of the Board of Trustees is elected for a four-year term, is called the Mayor, and serves as the chief elected official of the Village and presides at all Board of Trustees meetings and ceremonial occasions. While not required to vote at Village Board meetings except to break a tie or to make a quorum, the Mayor may veto any measure, but the veto can be over-ridden by a two thirds vote of the trustees. With the approval of the Village Board, the Mayor appoints non-elected Village officials.
