Libertyville Recognizes the Importance of Going "Green"


The Village of Libertyville Sustainability Plan highlights Village efforts and accomplishments toward environmental issues, and provides a comprehensive strategy to maintain and enhance our high quality of life well into the future. “...thus in all these ways we will transmit this city, not only not less, but greater and more beautiful than it was transmitted to us” (the Athenian oath).
In 2015 (a comprehensive update was approved in 2018) the Village Board of Trustees approved the adoption of a Libertyville Sustainability Plan as recommended by the Sustain Libertyville Commission. The plan provides a guide for many current and future initiatives to promote "green" initiatives in Libertyville.
