Restore Illinois Plan Phase 3

Beginning today bars and restaurants are permitted to reopen with outdoor seating as part of the Restore Illinois Plan. Bars and restaurants have the option to resume operations for outdoor seating only. Tables must be six feet apart and away from the sidewalks, masks and distancing measures for staff must continue to be followed as well as other precautions. The Village is currently working with restaurants and businesses to allow for expanded or new outdoor seating areas in accordance with the Restore Illinois Plan. We will be allowing some outdoor seating on public areas to assist the restaurants while following the state guidelines and making sure that we are providing access to all of our other businesses.

Under phase three manufacturing, offices, retail, barbershops and salons will also be able to reopen to the public with capacity and other limits as well as safety precautions. Gatherings must be limited to 10 people or fewer and face coverings are also necessary. Independence Day Fireworks Display Canceled

The Independence Day Fireworks Display for 2020 which was scheduled for Friday, July 3rd will not take place due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Village’s fireworks vendor required a decision by the beginning of June regarding continuing on with the show. Given that the State of Illinois has just entered Phase 3 of the Restore Illinois Plan and it is likely that we will be unable to have large gatherings on Independence Day the Village Board made the decision to cancel the event.
