Winter Weather Reminders

Please remember that the Village begins plowing streets within our jurisdiction when snow is more than one inch deep and when freezing temperatures indicate there will be no melting. Many state and county roads in and around the Village are cleared by the respective agencies.

There are several ways you can help keep the Village safe during the winter. Please clear your sidewalk. Assist senior citizens who live nearby by shoveling their sidewalks and checking on them during the approaching cold spell. When clearing your driveway or blowing the snow onto the parkway please do so to the right side of your driveway as you face the street to reduce snow being put back into your driveway by the snow plows. Park vehicles off the street. On-street parking is prohibited between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. during snow events.

Please watch for snow & ice removal vehicles.  Be alert and vigilant of Village snowplows while driving or shoveling your sidewalk or driveway. Ensure your mailbox is 12 inches from the curb and the post is secure. Adopt a fire hydrant and keep it clear of snow.  It is there to protect you.

Charles Brown Park Renovation Survey

The Village is seeking feedback on the playground design for Charles Brown Park (Located at 1015 Dawes Avenue). Which design is your favorite? Which piece of equipment would you most like to see included in the design? Take our survey today!! Please note that designs and colors are subject to change and are dependent upon available funds.

It is anticipated that the onsite basketball court will be resurfaced as part of this project and will also be striped for pickle ball. In addition, a porta potty enclosure will be added to the park. These additional project components are subject to available funds.

American Flags at Half-staff
