Village Honors Local Veterans for Veterans DayIn honor of Veterans Day, Mayor Donna Johnson and the Village Board of Trustees invited Libertyville veterans to the Village Board meeting on November 9th for recognition. Mayor Johnson issued a proclamation for long-time Libertyville resident and veteran Don Carter, 96, in honor of his service in the United States Army.

A 47-year resident of Libertyville, Carter serves as the Chairman of the Memorial Day Committee and Master of Ceremonies at the Memorial Day events. He is an active member of numerous organizations including the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
The Village celebrated the dedication of veterans like Don and Village staff members and thanks them for their service and sacrifice.
