Charles Brown Park Ribbon Cutting & Arbor Day PlantingJoin the Village of Libertyville as we celebrate the renovation of Charles Brown Park! Check out the park's new additions at 10:30 am on April 30th at 1015 Dawes St.
The park features a brand new playground, resurfaced basketball courts, and pickleball striping. In honor of Arbor Day, the Village will also be planting a Kentucky coffeetree to commemorate the occasion.
*NOTE: This event was rescheduled from 2021 due to inclement weather.

Autism Acceptance Month with the Libertyville Police DepartmentIn recognition of Autism Acceptance Month, the Libertyville Police Department is selling custom patches throughout the month of April. Officers also have the option to wear two patches on their uniform shirts!
Patches are available for purchase for $10 each from the Records Department at 200 E. Cook Ave. from 7 am to 9 pm, Monday through Friday. Proceeds will be used to buy items beneficial to autistic students in D70! For details, click here.

Libertyville Community Garden Plots AvailbleThe Libertyville Gardens are open for registration for the 2022 season! Anticipated plot opening date is May 16th through October 31st. Plots are available in a 20 x 20 or 20 x 10 size and require a refundable deposit at the time of reservation. For details and registration, click here.

Sunrise Rotary 2nd Annual Recycling EventThe Libertyville Sunrise Rotary Club is partnering with Blue Star Recyclers and Sunset Foods to host its 2nd Annual Electronics Recycling Collection event. The drop-off event will take place from 10 am to 1 pm on Saturday, April 30th at Sunset Foods, 1451 Peterson Rd. Residents also have the option to schedule an at-home pick-up for large or heavy items only the week of May 2nd. For a list of accepted items and fees or to schedule a pick-up, click here.

Small Business Virtual Trainings with SBDC ITCThe Illinois Small Business Development & International Trade Center helps small businesses start and grow through advising, training, and tools. Programming includes no-cost workshop sessions held virtually throughout the month. May topics include accounting and finance in both English and Spanish, human resources, and government contracting.

Senior Center "See, Taste, and Smell" TripRing in spring with a trip to the Tulip Festival at Richardson Adventure Farm! Register today for the See, Taste, and Smell Trip on Tuesday, May 3rd. $30 secures your bus seat, entry to the festival, and dessert at Lovin Oven Cakery Cafe. Food trucks and the gift shop will be open for lunch, wine tasting, fudge, and special buys. Bus leaves at 10:30 am and will return by 3:30 pm.
