Mayor's Statement on Asian American and Pacific Islander Month

In recognition of history and culture, Mayor Johnson shares an official statement regarding Asian American and Pacific Islander Month. This is part of a continuous effort to recognize heritage months in Libertyville.

Libertyville Bike to Work Day

At the April 26th Board meeting, Mayor Donna Johnson signed a proclamation declaring May 2022 as National Bike Month in the Village of Libertyville. Join the Bicycle Advisory Commission, avid cyclists, and fellow residents in Bike to Work Day on May 20th!

National Police Week

National Police Week with the Libertyville Police Department

Each May, the National Law Enforcement Memorial and Museum observes National Police Week. From May 15th to the 21st, recognize those law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty for the safety and protection of others!

North Shore Gas Controlled Gas Release

During the week of May 16th, North Shore Gas will vent natural gas from a main in the Village. The release will take place near the intersection of 176 (Park Avenue) and Woodland Road. The earliest anticipated start date is May 17th, but no later than May 20th. Release will occur between 7:00 am and 9:00 am and may result in a temporary natural gas odor in the area.

Senior Center Cubs Baseball Trip

Senior Center Chicago Cubs Game Outing

Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jack! Join the Libertyville Senior Center on Wednesday, July 6th for a Chicago Cubs game. Tickets are $60 and include a tailgate party, game ticket, and transportation. Bus leaves at 9:30 pm and will return after 5 pm.

Libertyville's classic car show returns! Join MainStreet Libertyville at its monthly event featuring vintage cars, trucks, and motorcycles along Church and Cook streets in downtown Libertyville. The series kick-off is on Wednesday, May 18th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Letter Carrier's Food Drive

Be a part of the largest food drive in the nation this Saturday, May 14th! The Letter Carriers' Food Drive collects shelf-stable food donations for local pantries.

Simply put your non-perishable donation in a bag by your mailbox and USPS will do the rest!

Canlan Sports Adult Softball League

Registration is now open for adult softball summer leagues with Canlan Sports! From the first week of May through July, teams play 9 regular season games and a single elimination playoff tournament. Teams may join for Men's 12" or Co-Ed 14" mush ball.
