Observe Memorial Day with the Village of LibertyvilleThe Village invites you to observe its annual Memorial Day Parade & Celebration on Monday, May 30th, beginning at 9:30 am at the Libertyville Metra station. The ceremony will take place in Cook Memorial Park closing with a precession to Lakeside Cemetery. Event details are available here. In observance of the holiday, Village administrative offices will be closed on Monday, May 30th and will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, May 31st. All emergency services will remain open.

SWALCO Household Chemical Waste EventThe Solid Waste Agency of Lake County, IL (SWALCO) is hosting a Household Chemical Waste disposal event on Saturday, May 28th. HCW includes oil-based paints/varnishes, cleaning products, garden chemicals, and medications. Appointments are required; event is at the Gurnee facility at 1311 N. Estes Street.

North Shore Gas Controlled Gas ReleaseNorth Shore Gas will vent natural gas from a natural gas main on June 2nd. The release was originally scheduled for the week of May 16th. The release will take place near the intersection of 176 (Park Avenue) and Woodland Road between 7:00 am and 9:00 am. Work crews will be on site from May 18th through May 27th.
