Celebrate Summer at Libertyville Days!

Get ready for Libertyville's favorite summer festival! Libertyville Days returns June 16th through the 19th in downtown Libertyville. Check out the beer garden, watch the Libertyville Pageant, and ride carnival rides all in celebration of the 60048!

LCDOT Announces Road Closures

The Lake County, IL Division of Transportation has announced two road closures in the coming weeks:

  • Winchester Road west of US Route 45 - Beginning 6 am on Monday, June 13th through late afternoon on Tuesday, June 21st (view details here)
  • Butterfield Road north of IL Route 60 - Beginning Wednesday, June 22nd through Wednesday, June 29th (view details here)
Please be mindful of LCDOT work crews as they complete necessary repairs to the roads during these times.

ComEd 2022 Cable Replacement Program

In order to reduce power outages and increase smart grid reliability, ComEd is refurbishing and replacing underground cable on Pinetree Lane. Work began on Thursday, June 9th and is expected to take 10 to 15 days to complete. All affected residents will receive a door tag from ComEd.

Wine Palate Training with Libertyville Recreation

Want to know the difference between dry and sweet? How can you tell when a wine is corked? Why do winos swirl, sniff, and spit? Train your palate to answer these questions at the Wine 101 Palate Training with Tasteful Adventures with Susie! Dive into the world of wine from 6:30 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, June 21st.

Save the Date: National Night Out

National Night Out is coming to Libertyville! Join the Libertyville Police Department for this special event celebrating community between residents and law enforcement from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, August 2nd. Movie in the Park will follow at 8:30 pm.

Apply to Join the Libertyville Police Department

The Libertyville Police Department is currently accepting applications for entry-level police officers. Applications must be submitted online by 4 pm on Thursday, June 30th. Faxed, emailed, mailed, or dropped off applications will not be accepted.

Salary range is $69,875 to $108,482 with a benefits package that includes paid vacation, holidays, and sick leave, health insurance, pension enrollment, and tuition reimbursement. For requirements and to apply, click here.

Senior Center Closed for Libertyville Days

As a sponsor and host of Libertyville Days, the Libertyville Civic Center and Senior Center will be closed from Monday, June 13th through Tuesday, June 20th.

Job Center of Lake County Offering Scholarships for Careers in Manufacturing

Seeking training, looking for a better job, or switching careers? The Job Center of Lake County is offering tuition assistance! Qualified participants can receive up to $7,000 towards training costs for careers in manufacturing fields, including automation engineering, computer programming, CAD/CADD technology, and welding.

SWALCO Household Chemical Waste Event

The Solid Waste Agency of Lake County, IL (SWALCO) is hosting a Household Chemical Waste disposal event on Saturday, June 25th. HCW includes oil-based paints/varnishes, cleaning products, garden chemicals, and medications. Appointments are required; event is at the Gurnee facility at 1311 N. Estes Street.
