Celebrate Summer at Libertyville Days!

Libertyville's favorite summer festival is here! The 2022 Libertyville Days festival runs through June 19th in downtown Libertyville. Check out the beer garden, watch the Libertyville Pageant, and ride carnival rides all in celebration of the 60048!

Let Freedom Ring with the Village of Libertyville

Celebrate Independence Day with the Village of Libertyville! Enjoy a special holiday concert by the Village Band at 7:30 pm at Butler Lake Park. The 2022 fireworks display will begin at approximately 9:30 pm, sponsored by the Libertyville Mile of Cars and the Village of Libertyville.

LCDOT Announces Road Closures

The Lake County, IL Division of Transportation has announced two road closures in the coming weeks:

  • Winchester Road west of US Route 45 - Beginning 6 am on Monday, June 13th through late afternoon on Tuesday, June 21st (view details here)
  • Butterfield Road north of IL Route 60 - Beginning Wednesday, June 22nd through Wednesday, June 29th (view details here)
Please be mindful of LCDOT work crews as they complete necessary repairs to the roads during these times.

Pool Member Appreciation Day

Calling all pool passholders! Get an extra hour of private swim with fellow members at Member Appreciation Day! From 10 am to 11 am on June 24th, pool passholders can get a head start on their day at Adler Pool.

Village Band Summer 2022 Concert Series

After a long hiatus, the Village Band is excited to announce its return in 2022! Directed by Corey Ames, the volunteer-based Village Band plays free public concerts at 7:30 pm every Thursday in Cook Park beginning June 23rd.

MainStreet Libertyville Lunch in the Park Returns

Take your lunch outside with MainStreet Libertyville's Lunch in the Park! Bring a blanket or lawn chair to downtown Libertyville's Cook Park each Friday beginning June 24th. From 11 am to 2 pm, food vendors will be on-site offering everything from burgers to dumplings to ice cream!

Whether you're meeting friends or doing "grab and go" on your lunch hour, relax and enjoy entertainment from local bands while you savor local eats! For details and a list of performers, click here.

The Libertyville Police Department is currently accepting applications for entry-level police officers. Applications must be submitted online by 4 pm on Thursday, June 30th. Faxed, emailed, mailed, or dropped off applications will not be accepted.

Salary range is $69,875 to $108,482 with a benefits package that includes paid vacation, holidays, and sick leave, health insurance, pension enrollment, and tuition reimbursement. For requirements and to apply, click here.

Support the Festival of the Arts as a Volunteer!

The Adler Arts Center and the GLMV Chamber of Commerce are looking for volunteers for the annual Festival of the Arts! Volunteers are needed for the following shifts:

  • Friday, August 5th: Setup
  • Saturday, August 6th - Beer garden and tickets/wristbands
  • Sunday, August 7th - Beer garden and tickets/wristbands
  • Monday, August 8th - Teardown
If you're fun, enthusiastic, and passionate about supporting the arts, send your availability to Scott Adams, GLMV President, at sadams@glmvchamber.org. No experience necessary!

Senior Center Cubs vs. Brewers Baseball Trip

Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jack! Join the Libertyville Senior Center on Wednesday, July 6th for a Chicago Cubs game. Tickets are $60 and include a tailgate party, game ticket, and transportation. Bus leaves at 9:30 pm and will return after 5 pm.

SWALCO Household Chemical Waste Event

The Solid Waste Agency of Lake County, IL (SWALCO) is hosting a Household Chemical Waste disposal event on Saturday, June 25th. HCW includes oil-based paints/varnishes, cleaning products, garden chemicals, and medications. Appointments are required; event is at the Gurnee facility at 1311 N. Estes Street.
