2022 Community Bike Ride

Join the Libertyville Bicycle Advisory Commission for its annual Community Bike Ride! This fun, family-friendly bike ride has the option of a 2.5 mile loop or a 5 mile loop with smart cycling activities for kids of all ages. Meet the Libertyville Police Department Bike Unit and School Resource Officer, win giveaways, and meet your neighbors in the great outdoors! 

Online registration has closed; in-person registration will be available at 8:30 am the day of the event.

Businesses Wanted for Trunk or Treat

The Libertyville Recreation Department invites your business to participate in its new Trunk or Treat event! From 10 am to 11:30 am on Saturday, October 29th, decorate your personal or business vehicle and wear your best costume to hand out candy to kids and adults!

The event is limited to 25 vendors. Cost to participate is $50; registration ends on October 7th. To register, click here. Questions? Call Libertyville Recreation at 847-918-7275.

Need a new car seat installed? Not sure if yours is buckled in? Stop by the Libertyville Fire Department's Car Seat Checkpoint at Adler Park, 1500 N. Milwaukee, from 9 am to noon on Saturday, September 24th.

Residents will begin to see construction of Phase 2 of the Rockland Corridor Flood Reduction Project the week of September 19th.

An open house will be held at Village Hall, 118 W. Cook Ave., from 4 pm to 6 pm on Thursday, September 22. For details, click here.

The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) began pavement resurfacing of Milwaukee Ave. on August 29th.

The project will cover the road between Church St. and Adler Park and should be completed by early November. The work also includes sidewalk accessibility upgrades, structure improvements, and new road markings. For details, click here.
