Contribute to Libertyville's Bicycle Plan

Residents and visitors are encouraged to offer their input on the draft bike network in the Village! The Village is developing a Bicycle Plan to guide improvements for bike programs and has created a WikiMap to gather insight.

To add your ideas, click on the "Points" button at the top of the WikiMap here and choose your location. The portal will be open until January 20th!

Christmas Tree Pick-Up

Christmas tree pick-up is offered by the Village waste hauler Groot now through January 27th.


Trees must be placed at the curb for pick-up. Trees may not be in bags and all decorations and lights must be removed.

Police Department Lobby Temporarily Closed

The Libertyville Police Department lobby is temporarily closed for construction. The Records Department has been moved to the Community Development Building one entrance north.


Please refer to this entrance until construction is complete or call the Records Department at 847-918-2936.

Kinder Korner Preschool Open House

Looking into preschool for your toddler? Visit with our Preschool Director at the Aspen Library Open House on Saturday, January 21st! From 10 am to 1 pm, stop by 701 Aspen Drive in Vernon Hills to learn about Kinder Korner Preschool and get your 2-5 year old ready to learn!


Registration begins February 1st.

Free RoboThink Demo Workshop

Introduce your 7-12 year old to STEM at RoboThink's free Battle Robots Demo Workshop on Saturday, January 28th. From 11 am to 1 pm at the Crawford House, 817 W. Lake St., students will learn about engineering and robotics as they build, battle, and play!

MainStreet Libertyville Let's Wine About Winter

One of MainStreet Libertyville's most popular events is back for 2023! On Saturday, February 18th, troll through downtown with Let's Wine About Winter and indulge in shopping and in-store wine tastings.


Tickets go on sale to the public on January 30th for $40 each. For updates, check out the MainStreet event page here.

2023 Extension Master Gardeners Seed Expo

Come for the seeds, stay for the conversation at the 2023 Extension Master Garden Seed Expo on Saturday, February 4th! From 10 am to 2 pm at the Village of Round Lake Beach Culture & Civic Center, the Lake County Extension Master Gardeners will feature its popular seed swap, vendors, a raffle auction, and bake sale.


This event is free to attend! Seeds not required to participate. For more information, click here.

Small Business Intellectual Property Workshop

Explore your small business rights for creative assets with the Illinois SBDC International Trade Center at College of Lake County. From noon to 1 pm on Thursday, January 26th, this presentation will review the basics of intellectual property, licensing, and best practices.
