Public Service Recognition Week takes place this week, May 1-7, 2016. We would like to recognize all the outstanding contributions made by the men and women who serve America as local, state and federal government employees.
The Rain Barrel/Compost Bin Reimbursement Program is designed to help reduce residential water consumption through the conservation of rain water and roof runoff. Rain barrels are a cost effective alternative to using potable water for watering yards and gardens. Rain barrels function by collecting roof runoff from gutters and downspouts and by storing the water for future use. In addition to water conservation, rain barrels help reduce storm water runoff to streams and storm sewer systems, and help reduce peak water demand during summer months. Compost bins keep waste out of landfills and can provide fertilizer as a re-use. The Village is providing a partial reimbursement to promote these valuable items Click here to see the official Village of Libertyville Rain Barrel/Compost Bin Reimbursement Form.
