Village Vehicle Stickers Now on Sale

2023-2024 vehicle stickers are now on sale at the Village Hall, 118 W. Cook Ave., and online! All vehicles registered or housed in the Village are required to display a current year sticker on their windshields no later than May 1st, including those registered to area businesses. Stickers are $30 for cars and trucks and all revenue supports the repair of Village streets.

Libertyville Receives Bird City Illinois Recognition

Mayor Donna Johnson and the Village Board of Trustees are excited to announce that Libertyville has received recognition as a Bird City! Coordinated by the Audubon Council of Illinois, the Bird City Illinois program celebrates municipalities that "demonstrate an active and ongoing commitment to the protection and conservation of bird populations and their habitats." Libertyville is only the fifth municipality in Illinois to receive the recognition, joining Rockford, Waukegan, Freeport, and Grayslake.

A big thank you to the Sustain Libertyville Commission and the Lake County Audubon Society for applying on behalf of the Village!

Parkway Tree Planting Program

Looking to add a little greenery this year? The Village is looking for residents who would like to add trees to their parkway! Site reviews take place through the spring and trees are not guaranteed for each request.

Rockland Corridor Flood Reduction Project Resumes

The Rockland Corridor Flood Reduction Project has resumed after a winter construction pause. Fourth Avenue will be closed to thru-traffic for the coming weeks between Rockland Road and Meadow Lane for utility installation and roadway reconstruction.

Senior Center Racine Day Trip

Join the Libertyville Senior Center for a visit up north! On Thursday, April 13th, tour the SC Johnson headquarters and research labs designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. Lunch will take place on the lake before a tour of the Larsen Bakery, famous for its Kringle!

$45 includes lunch, tours, and transportation. Bus will leave at 9 am and return by 4 pm. To register, visit the Civic Center at 135 W. Church Street or call at 847-247-7659.

Small Business Virtual Workshops

The Lake County Small Business Development Center hosts regular workshops for small businesses. March's roster includes "Sales Tax Requirement for Small Business," "Technology Planning for Small Businesses," and "Build Business Credit and Stop Using Personal Guarantees."
