Happy Preservation Month! This May, the Village is celebrating by sharing exciting news! 

The Village's Downtown Historic District has been officially added to the National Register of Historic Places. This prestigious designation celebrates our community’s rich history and recognizes the Village’s ongoing commitment to preserving the charm, character, and identity that make downtown Libertyville unique.

Construction Around Town

Please be advised that construction is currently underway in several locations within the Village. IDOT is performing ADA improvements along IL-176 from Dymond Rd. to Fifth St. and Lake County DOT is currently resurfacing Butterfield Rd. To learn more about these and other projects click here.

Cop on a Rooftop- Save the Date

Join the Police Department on Friday, May 16th from 5:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for the annual Cop on a Rooftop fundraiser for the Illinois Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics. Dunkin locations included in the event: 210 Peterson Rd. and 119 N Milwaukee Ave. Libertyville.

Household Chemical Waste Collection Event

On Saturday, May 24th SWALCO will hold a Household Chemical Waste Collection Event at the Mundelein Metra Station from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Appointments are required. To learn more and to make an appointment visit: https://www.swalco.org/165/Household-Chemical-Waste-HCW
