Police Station Project Open House- September 25th

The Village will be hosting an open house for the police station project on September 25th from 5 - 6:30 p.m. at the Civic Center located at 135 W. Church St. The Libertyville Police Station was built over 50 years ago and no longer meets modern standards for safety, staffing, and service. A modern police facility directly supports the well-being of every resident and business in our community. To learn more about the project click here.

Community Bike Ride- 

September 14th 

The Community Bike Ride is only a few days away. Join the Bicycle Commission this Sunday, September 14th at Adler Park from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. (8:30 a.m. registration). This is a family friendly bike ride. There is a 2.5 mile loop and 5 mile loop option. To learn more and to register here.

Tasty Thursday- September 18th 

Don't miss the final Tasty Thursday of the year! Balloons, food, and tunes. Mark your calendars for September 18, from 4:30-7:30 pm, Riverside Park (700 Riverside Drive) is throwing a party and everyone's invited! Free entry, memorable photo ops, food trucks (for purchase) and live music. To learn more click here.

Oktoberfest in Libertyville- 

September 19th- 20th

Mark your calendars for Oktoberfest in Libertyville on Friday, September 19th and Saturday, September 20th! From 5 pm to 10 pm in Mickey Finn's back lot, enjoy live music, a curated selection of seasonal brews, and traditional Bavarian bier sports like Hammerschlager and Masskrugstemmen. Bring the whole crew for family hour from 1 pm to 4 pm on Saturday!

Family Fishing Derby- September 27th

Join the Libertyville Recreation Department on September 27th for a fun-filled day on the water at a Fishing Derby at Butler Lake! Cast your line and try your luck catching crappie, bluegill, and largemouth bass. Whether you're a seasoned angler or a first-time fisher, this is a great event for all ages to enjoy the outdoors and friendly competition. Bring your gear, your friends, and your best fishing stories—we’ll see you at the lake!

Price: $5 per person for pre-registration, $10 per person for walk-ups
All ages welcome!
Please note: Anyone 16 years and older is required to have a valid Illinois fishing license.

Trunk or Treat- Save the Date

SAVE THE DATE- The Recreation Department's annual trunk or treat event will take place on Saturday, October 25th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm in Adler Park. Join us for a family friendly event with candy, music, games and more. Costumes encouraged but not required.

MainStreet Libertyville's Witches Night Out

Put on your favorite witch costume or jazz up a witch hat, grab your broomsticks, and head to downtown Libertyville for an evening of shopping and fun! Participating businesses will offer deals, discounts, and specialty drinks while they are open late. Awards will be given for best costume and best witch hat at the after-party.
