Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony 

The annual tree lighting ceremony will be held TONIGHT (Nov. 28th) in Cook Park. Festivities begin at 6:30 p.m., with the tree lighting at 7:00 p.m.

Visit downtown Libertyville on Saturday,  November 29th for Small Business Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Shop and enjoy the downtown. Many shops have special offers. Santa's Mailbox

Santa's Mailbox 

Santa's mailbox will be open for letters through December 18th. Drop off your note to Santa at one of his mailboxes at Village Hall (118 W. Cook Ave.) or Riverside Park (870 Country Club Dr.). Make sure to include a return address so he can send you a personalized response!

No postage required - Santa's elves will pick up his deliveries.

Annual Santa Parade

The annual Santa Parade will travel through the Village on Saturday, December  6th and will begin at 2:00 p.m.  A Santa tracker map will be  available to see when he is nearby. Grab your blankets, holiday cookies, hot chocolate, and chairs to watch Santa. If your street is on Santa’s route, we ask that you avoid parking on the street and use driveways, when possible, to ensure that Santa’s sleigh can fit down the street. The Village’s parks also make a great place to walk or drive and park at to enjoy the Santa parade. To view the Santa route map click here.

Libertyville Township Food Pantry Information

Libertyville Township food pantry is open on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. It is open to any Libertyville Township resident who provides proof of residency. The following documents are required as proof of residency and family members residing in the home:

  • Photo Id
  • A recent utility bill for proof of residency is required.
  • Proof is required for the Reason for Assistance: SSI, TANF, Unemployment, LIHEAP, Senior Freeze, Medicaid, and/or Subsidized Housing. 
  • A copy of the most recent Public Aid Medical card. Please bring copies of Social Security cards for children residing in your home.
  • Any other others living in the home will need to bring in proof of their residency, such as mail received by them at the identified address.
  • Drivers Licenses are NOT accepted as identification for proof of residency.

Toys for Tots Collection 

Looking for a Toys for Tots collection bin? The Libertyville Police Department will continue to collect new and unwrapped toys for the Toys for Toys campaign until Monday, December 15th. Donations can be dropped off in collection bins in the lobby of the Police Department (200 E. Cook Avenue). Thank you for helping make a child’s day a little brighter!
