Local Business Grants

The Business Resiliency Grant program is designed to encourage existing business growth, expansion and sustainability through matching grants of up to $5,000, and is limited to customer facing, sales tax producing entities. An extensive list of potential uses is possible including online sales platform development, marketing program development, equipment acquisition, projecting signage, green/sustainable enhancements, etc.  Project limited to general operational, maintenance or replacement costs will not be considered eligible.

Examples of recently approved grants include: development of new websites and online sales platforms, purchasing of additional kitchen equipment, construction and  acquisition of equipment for a new sports activity area, addition of new front windows to provide an outdoor dining experience to indoor customers, a digital marketing campaign, and construction of new product displays.

The Facade & Property Enhancement Grant will encourage improvement to dated or deteriorated existing facades or site conditions on commercial buildings in certain commercially zoned districts outside the downtown (includes C-2 & C-3), and will offer matching grants up to $25,000.  Projects are intended to enhance the property, and may not be only maintenance in nature. Projects approved for funding will have 12 months for completion.
