Neighborhood Watch Program
Neighborhood Watch Program
The Libertyville Police Department participates in the Neighborhood Watch Program to promote public awareness, enhance community safety, and strengthen communication between the Police Department and homeowners’ associations throughout the Village of Libertyville. This program serves as an information-sharing platform designed to support crime prevention and community engagement.
The Libertyville Police Department encourages all residents to adopt a “See Something, Say Something” approach and to promptly report any suspicious activity to the Police Department. In support of this effort, residents are asked to observe and promote the following safety practices to help deter criminal activity within their neighborhoods:
- Ensure all residential doors and windows are properly secured.
- Ensure vehicle doors and windows are locked when unattended.
- Remove vehicle keys and key fobs from vehicles and store them inside the residence.
- Refrain from leaving valuables inside vehicles.
- Submit a Vacation Watch Request to the Police Department when planning to be out of town.
