Local Background Checks

The Police Department is frequently asked to conduct background checks for employment, adoption, licensing, and other purposes and provide what is typically referred to as a "clearance letter". We are able to conduct a local records check, consisting only of contacts (traffic & criminal) with Libertyville Police.

Please note: Our local background checks doe not include a criminal history check or response, FBI response, or immigration clearance. To obtain this information, you must contact each respective agency.
