Special Recreation
The Village of Libertyville Recreation Department is a cooperative member agency of the Special Recreation Association of Central Lake County (SRACLC). SRACLC provides community-based therapeutic recreation programs for individuals of all ages with disabilities or special needs.
SRACLC is a partnership between the Grayslake, Round Lake, Vernon Hills, and Mundelein Park Districts, along with the Villages of Hawthorn Woods, Lake Zurich, Libertyville, and Lincolnshire. Residents living within the boundaries of these member agencies are eligible to participate in SRACLC programs and services.
SRACLC offers more than 500 programs, camps, and special events throughout the year. In addition to its specialized programming, SRACLC also supports individuals who wish to participate in programs offered by their local park district or recreation department. Support services may include additional staff assistance, behavior management support, disability awareness training, and other adaptive services to help ensure safe and successful participation.
