May is Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month
At the April 26th Village Board meeting, Mayor Johnson issued an official proclamation recognizing May 2022 as Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. This is part of a continuous effort to recognize heritage months in Libertyville.

In support of the month, we encourage residents and visitors alike to engage in additional resources for education and celebration:
-Cook Memorial Public Library has curated a list of recommended books categorized by reader age.
-The Library of Congress hosts a national resource website cataloguing events and resources for the month.
-The White House has issued a national proclamation recognizing Asian American and Pacific Islander Month.
