Got the Dot?

The Police Department has joined with the IL Departments of Transportation, Public Health, and Aging to promote the "Yellow Dot" medical safety program.
The program allows motorists to alert first responders in cases of accidents or medical emergencies by placing a yellow dot sticker on their rear window, which signifies that a medical information card is in the vehicle’s glove box. The card contains information on medical conditions, medications, recent surgeries, and emergency contact information.
The program is free to anyone who wishes to participate, and packets are available in the Police Department lobby, located at 200 E. Cook Avenue, 24 hours a day. Packets are also available at the Village Hall, 118 W. Cook Avenue; and Fire Station #1, 1551 N. Milwaukee Avenue.
