Mayor Donna Johnson, Board of Trustee Members and Village Clerk Installed on May 4, 2021

At a Special Board of Trustees meeting on May 4, 2021 outgoing Mayor Terry L. Weppler administered the Oath of Office to newly elected Mayor Donna Johnson; Village Clerk, Luke Stowe and Village Board of Trustees members Matthew Hickey, Matthew Krummick and Dan Love. In addition, Mayor Donna Johnson nominated Jim Connell to fill the vacancy created by her vacated Trustee seat to fulfill the remaining two years of her Trustee term. In addition, outgoing Mayor Terry L. Weppler, Village Trustee members Richard Moras, Jay Justice and Pat Carey were recognized for their service as well as outgoing Village Clerk Sally Kowal. Illinois to Move to Bridge Phase- May 14 

On May 6, 2021 Governor Pritzker announced that the State of Illinois will move to the Bridge Phase of the Restore Illinois plan effective May 14, 2021. Electronic Recycling 

The Village offers a Residential Electronic Waste curbside pick- up program through Groot Industries. The program is offered at no additional cost to residents. Collection will occur on your regularly scheduled refuse pick-up day each week for up to three acceptable Electronic Waste items which are placed curbside. Please contact Groot at least one business day  in advance at 847-566-5361 to notify them that electronic waste will be placed curbside.  

Electronic Waste means items as defined under the Illinois Electronics Products Recycling and Reuse Act including computers and monitors, printers, digital converter boxes, fax machines, video cassette recorders, portable digital music players, video game consoles, scanners, electronic keyboards, small scale servers, digital video disc players, electronic mice, televisions, cable receivers, satellite receivers and digital video disc recorders.
Televisions or other acceptable items in excess of 50 pounds will require an additional charge of $50.00 per unit.

LCHD Vaccine Walk-ins 

The Lake County Fairgrounds is currently offering walk-in COVID-19 vaccinations on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday afternoons. Appointments are encouraged, but afternoon walk-ins are welcome.

Walk-in hours at the Lake County Fairgrounds are as follows:

Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays:
Noon to 3 p.m.

Wednesdays:
2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Anyone ages 16 and older who lives in the State of Illinois or works in Lake County can get a free COVID-19 vaccine at a Lake County Health Department site. Minors ages 16-17 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to receive their vaccine. The Lake County Health Department provides COVID-19 vaccines at no cost and does not bill health insurance. You do not need to be a U.S. citizen to get vaccinated.
