Mayor's Recognition of National Native American Heritage Month

At the October 25th Village Board meeting, Mayor Johnson signed a proclamation designating November 2022 as National Native American Heritage Month. This is part of a continuous effort to recognize heritage months in Libertyville

Fall Leaf Pick-Up Reminder

Leaf pick-up is provided through the Village's garbage contractor, Groot. Options include subscription landscape waste collection or yard waste stickers for yard waste bags. For details, pricing, and locations, click here.

Residents and landscapers should avoid raking leaves into the street as these leaves clog storm drains and blow into other yards.

The Libertyville Santa Parade Returns for 2022

Save the date! The Santa Parade is BACK! Follow Saint Nick as he travels throughout the Village - decorated trucks in tow! Route details will be released in the coming weeks.

Sustain Libertyville's Pumpkin Composting Event

The Libertyville Sustain Commission invites you to its annual Pumpkin Smash composting event! From 9 am to 4 pm on Saturday, November 12th, drop off your pumpkins and gourds in the Adler Pool parking lot for collection to be composted.

New this year, BYOB (Bring Your Own Bucket) for compost on site! Residents may collect up to 20 gallons of compost from SWALCO to take home. Shovels will be provided!

Crack Sealing Program Begins

Annual crack sealing is scheduled for Friday, November 11th and Saturday, November 12th. Sealing may continue into the following week depending on weather.

West Golf Road, American Way, Thornbury Lane, Blueberry Drive, Acorn Drive, Pond Ridge, Dymond Road, and Butterfield Lane are all slated for sealing. Residents should avoid parking on the street between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm the days of sealing. For more details, including a map of affected areas, click here.

Register for MainStreet Libertyville's Victorian Tea

Experience an authentic tea time experience with MainStreet Libertyville! Catered by Gerri's High Tea, this event is fitted with finger sandwiches and pastries, Victorian silverware, vintage linens, and English tea.

Libertyville Historical Society History Matters

Explore the history of your home with the Libertyville Historical Society History Matters Series! This virtual program takes place at 7 pm on Monday, November 21st. Walk through how to research Libertyville properties with Local History librarian Jenny Barry.

GLMV Chamber of Commerce Fall Luncheon

Connect with local business leaders at the GLMV Chamber of Commerce's Fall Luncheon! From 11:30 am to 1 pm on Tuesday, November 15th, hear from the Northern Illinois Food Bank about their programs and services at Coppolilo's Italiano, one of Libertyville's newest eateries!

Senior Center Trip to Elf the Musical

"The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear"...and sing you will at Elf: The Musical! Join the Libertyville Senior Center for a day of holiday music and magic at Drury Lane Theater.

Tickets are $100 and include a three-course lunch, transportation, and a ticket to the show. Bus leaves at 11 am and will return by 5 pm. To register, visit or call the Libertyville Senior Center, 135 W. Church St., at (847) 247-7659.
