Celebrate Independence Day in Libertyville!On Tuesday, July 4th, enjoy a special holiday concert by the Village Band at 7:30 pm in Butler Lake Park. The 2023 fireworks display will begin at approximately 9:30 pm, sponsored by the Libertyville Mile of Cars and Village of Libertyville. Lake Street will be closed to pedestrians and vehicle traffic at 9 pm with parking available in the commuter lot, both parking garages, and Butterfield School. Parking will also be available at Butler Lake Park for residents only. In observance of the holiday, administrative offices will be closed. Emergency services will continue to be available.

Dog Days of Summer Returns for 2023Dog owners and lovers alike are invited to the 14th Annual Dog Days of Summer hosted by the Knights of Columbus 3674! From July 7th through 9th, visit pup-friendly vendors, watch the DockDogs aquatic competition, and march in the pet parade. A schedule of events is available here.

Crane and Rockland Road ClosureThe Highlands Subdivision Flood Reduction Project is advancing into the next phase of sewer installations and will require an extended road closure of Crane Blvd and Rockland Rd (between Dymond & Garfield). The closure and detour route began on Thursday, June 8th and are anticipated to remain in place into July. A map of the Detour Route is available here. All footwear is accepted in all conditions (with the exception of shoes that are wet or moldy, soleless, or with blade or skates attached).
